John Poe Architects designed a new $35 million facility for Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services in Dayton, Ohio.  The facility includes Class 100 clean rooms and other lab and research space along with offices for 75-100 employees, conference and meeting rooms and public reception areas.  JPA collaborated with the owner for more than five years to understand the intricate and technical processes that drive this unique operation.  The building design responds to the CBC/CTS need to maximize efficiency and create optimal space adjacencies to fulfill the ever-growing need for donated human tissue grafts and transplants.
