FAIRFIELD COMMUNITY ARTS CENTER

John Poe Architects completed planning and design for the final element of the City of Fairfield Village Green Development.  An initial study was conducted to determine the viability of creating a community center in the park to serve the arts and cultural needs of the city.  JPA considered space requirements, demographics, programming and relationship to the new Public Library already on the site before designing the facility.  Components of the Community Center include a 250-seat-theatre, senior citizens lounge, gathering and art exhibition areas, kitchen, dance studio, a children’s pre-school room, wet and dry arts and crafts rooms, gallery, multi-purpose room with kitchen, and storage and administration areas.
